Drill & Tap 3 holes in each casting
Setting cores and threaded steel studs in mold
Longview Brass & Aluminum in Longview, TX. LBA poured 3500 lbs of 535 Almag this week. Two of the castings require LBA to cast several threaded steel studs into the aluminum casting. After the castings are poured, LBA drills and taps multiple holes in each casting. This order of 1650 castings was poured, finished, drilled and tapped in 3 days. It will ship out today to a regular customer in Shreveport, LA.
